You guys should have a rat make a Vaulderie with Anton and Heldric so that you have a method of communicating with Heldric when he's obfuscated. If he's around, you can't go screaming around his name but a small animal can! Just have Anton keep the rat in his pocket and let him send it out whenever you need to contact your invisible friend.

Just have Heldric summon a rat next time you see him; then have it go through a Vaulderie.

Vaulderie is only for vampires - do you mean the blood bond?

Regardless, Heldric would still be hidden from the rat.

Just because they're listed there doesn't mean they're clan disciplines, haha. Gangrel have Fortitude, Animalism and Protean. He has Vicissitude as an out-of-clan discipline, and he bought Koldunic Sorcery.

He bought a level of zero in Koldunic? Can he use rituals?

No, of course he can't.

They follow the basic ghoul template, they can be as good as the basic template allows them to be, haha. Ally-retainers get bonus points based on how many Ally points they have.

Also, why is "weak aura" a flaw? Dark ages says its a merit or flaw.

Nope. Obfuscate is a mind affecting discipline (it convinces you there isn't anyone there), you don't actually need to hide particularly well for it to take effect. The first level says that you cloak yourself in shadows - in other people's minds, darkness shifts to hide you from view. In Anton's eyes, it would instead be light bending to hide the guy from you.

Or at least, that's what i'm going with.

Same thing. Only way to see through Obfuscate is if the person using it Farks up, or if the person searching has an Auspex rating equal to or higher than their rating.

Obfuscate doesn't make you hard to see- it makes people ignore your presence.

Like, their eyes see you but their brain doesn't register that you're there. (like Charles Bonnet Syndrome but in reverse!)

It's there in the paths too, and is included in humanity. Basically, if you have a really high road/path/humanity rating, you get bonuses to certain rolls (for road of the beast it's intimidation, Road or Path of the night it's getting others to admit their dirty deeds, etc). If you have a low rating, you get a penalty 5 is the rating at which you have neither, above and below that you get bonuses or penalties ranging from -3 to +3.

They're all included on your sheets.

I thought that too, Daed. I was under the mistaken impression that you had to buy the merit to spend points on disciplines outside your clan. apparently, it just costs more. you can totally spend points on any discipline you want- it's just that your clan ones are cheaper.

Not on any discipline you want - common ones or others that would logically be available to you. I said as much in the character creation thread (saying that you need to have at least 3 of your discipline points in your clan disciplines, and that you could take others).

Later on, exp-wise they cost more (since they don't count as clan disciplines).
