From talking off the stairs to the others below, Pikachu spots something odd in the flaming well - it looks like there may be a Firestone lying on the bottom of it (which is only three feet deep).

Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny also happen to notice the Firestone among the flames when they take to the stairs to join Pikachu...

Jenny sees the firestone and rushes to inspect it. And if it is indeed a firestone like she thinks she plans on using it on Growlithe. "Stay away from that stone, let me inspect it!" She announces loudly.

Goedude takes 8 Damage fishing out the Firestone and brings it to Officer Jenny.

Meanwhile, the following words suddenly appear at the bottom of the fire well in flickering green flame:

'That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange eons even death may die. R’Lyeh, PikaChulu, Fatagn!'

Brock gestures for his geodude to hand the firestone to Jenny, while looking worriedly at Pikachu.

"Hey nurse, my geodude is starting to get hurt, could you get your Chancy to heal him a bit?"

"Thank you Brock." She smiles genuinly towards him as she takes the firestone from Geodude. "Growlithe, i choose you!" She calls out, and gives Growlithe the firestone so he can evolve into the pseudo-legendary Arcanine!

Climbing up the stairs, the Team finds the second floor of the tower empty, except for another spiraling stone staircase on the opposite side that winds up another sixty feet before disappearing into the ceiling above.

Strange chanting can be heard echoing down the spiral staircase, though it is too far away to be intelligible at this point.

Part of the floor along the southeast side of the chamber has collapsed into the tower breach, creating a dangerous drop to the first floor.

"HEY HO SILVER, AWAAAAAAAY!" Jenny shouts out as she climbs up on Arcanine. "Arcanine, let's check out that noise!" She says as she pats him on his neck.

Officer Jenny and Arcanine stride majestically across the room - and are pin-cushioned with a machinegun-like barrage of paralyzing darts that shoot from scowling face-sconces in the upper corners of the room.

Officer Jenny and Arcanine are both hit and paralyzed (temporarily) and now lie twitching in the middle of the room...

"Oh wait, I know!" Brock pulls out large board of wood that could be held up to stop the storm of darts (Using a wildcard)

"That should help a bit!"

"Nah, geodudes aren't immune to poison - and the darts can still get through their skin far enough to give them a good dose. Oh, and by the way, you never answered... could you get Chancy to heal Geodude? He's still injured from the Gengar."

As Pikachu gets near the top of the second spiral staircase, he spots a lever of some kind on the wall. Currently, the lever is in the 'up' position...

Brock realizes that officer Jenny and the Arcanine are still there...

He goes back for them, and then, ordering his geodude to drag the two as he held the board up, rescues the foolish trainer and owner.

He then tosses the boards back to misty and Nurse.

Brock finds that (since Pikachu just pulled down the lever) the trap is no longer functioning. Everyone is able to walk right across unharmed.

As for Offer Jenny and Arcanine, Nurse Joy should have what they need to free them from paralysis...

Nurse Joy uses her paralysis heal on the two of them. If she can only do it on one she chooses Arcanine, since Officer Jenny is to blame for him being paralyzed.

Nurse Joy revives Acanine with Paralysis Heal, then figures she can use Antidote on Officer Jenny - as it was from a 'poison' dart. The logic seems to hold up, and Officer Jenny is also revived.

Everyone is free to head upstairs now...
