I just wanted to mention that there is no reason whatsoever to panic. None.

Ooh, COSPlay - learned a new word today ;)

Better fire up the ol' innuendo chart and see what shakes loose on that one. :P

Mayhem mayhem mayhem! I like it!

(I don't know if it's weirding people out or not, btw. I just noticed that it was a little weird.

It's so hard to convey tone via text. Consider this a mildly "arched eyebrow," not a call to arms.)

hey WTF?  ::)

Well, you see, by that time, the nuns had all cleared out, and I only had one lacquered piranha left.

BZ

And why, pray tell, wouldn't you use our ample supply of lacquered cuttlefish then? JEEZ!  ::)

On a serious note: Things like this thread may be why people think this board is a "private club."

You've got 8 pages here of basically two people posting to one another a lot, interspersed with a few others, and using it like a Twitter status for the most part.

And it's named the "Hello thread."

I'd rename this or strike it, and start a friendlier "Hello thread," and then _sticky_ it. Let people post to it as they will instead of bumping the heck out of it.

My 2 cents. Most webforums don't look like this, and it may be weirding people out. They may think the board is just a joke, or a private playground.

I'm late to the thread, but what can I do? I may be able to drive out to Gen Con. I'm not far from Indy.

Email me.

Before I begin writing: Is there a "BHB Development Kit?" I think it would be helpful in writing the modules I've outlined.

Basically, I'm looking for things like standard equipment and NPC templates. I know there are some in the book, but if there's an "official" author's pack, I'd like it because it'll help me stay consistent with the feel of the system.

Play by post is going well, BZ, and providing me with what I really needed.

I'm the HappyfunBall. I'm a hired gun for the BHB production team.
For now, my role in the BHB project is complete, but I'll stick around because I think the system is pretty cool.

Hey your time in the box is just beginning... NOw comes the word of mouth getting people here...

I see you're taking the "no one leaves here alive" tack.  ;)

No problem. I like the company. Thanks for keeping me around, despite almost missing deadline.

Hey cool – now I can ‘officially’ welcome you aboard  ;D

And I have to say that the stuff you’ve done for us is damn awesome!

Thank you for the kind words.

I've helped out running conventions and written a few competition modules.

Hey, once we get the book out and things really take off, would you consider creating you own adventure modules for the game?  What about running something for us at Gen Con or Origins?

I'd have to familiarize myself with the rules better, but I would love to write up some scenarios for publication. I really want to play it. I have to get a copy of the thing and really dive into it. I'd love to hear a podcast of the game being played as well, just to get a good idea of what the gameflow is like.

My travel schedule is rather limited right now, but I suppose I'm closer to Indianapolis than you or Thayan for Gen-Con, so I'll take it under consideration.

I'm the HappyfunBall. I'm a hired gun for the BHB production team.

I've been a gamer since I was a kid, playing anything from D&D to Traveller, Top Secret to Toon. I've helped out running conventions and written a few competition modules. I am a dad by profession and a writer by vocation.

I'm also a reasonable musician, classically trained in both voice and guitar, and enjoy listening to just about anything, even rap music. So long as it isn't J.S. Bach.

We won't go into my politics.  ;D

For now, my role in the BHB project is complete, but I'll stick around because I think the system is pretty cool.

Maybe I'll even make "Outlaw" one of these days...  8)
