Hunter In The Chantry!

The new Vampire Prince has called a masquerade ball at his Chantry to introduce all the Heads of his new Vampire Faction to one another - but alas! - one of the Faction Leaders has been intercepted and dispatched by a wily Vampire Hunter along the way!
Using a magical artifact to disguise himself as the freshly staked Vampire, the Hunter is now among the rest of you here at the masquerade ball! He wants you take out your new Prince to deal a vicious blow to your kind.
You all know who the Vampire Prince is, but you have never met one another. You must find the Hunter and dispose of him before he can root out and Stake the Prince!
- 1 Vampire Hunter - This devious bastard is magically disguised as one of the Vampire Leaders. He has only one shot to Stake the Vampire Prince. He can do this at any point during the game, even right before he is Blood Drained.
- 1 Vampire Prince - Without him, the newly arranged Faction will fall apart (leaving all of you to face the ire of the other Factions that you rebuffed to come join this one.) His goal is to simply survive the assassination attempt.
- X Faction Leaders - Your job is to protect the Vampire Prince at all costs. You all are willing to put your unlives on the line to protect him. You all know who the Prince is, but don't know who else among you that you can trust; and you must not expose the Prince's identity to the Hunter! And so, you'll need find the Hunter and suck him dry before it's too late...
Not only that, but delegates from the other Vampire Factions are all outside the Chantry even now - just waiting for the new Prince to fail so they can swoop in and make example of you all...

Each Player has a Secret Character Name and must try to protect that Character from being Lynched. They can keep their Identity Secret or Reveal it (up to them). If their Character is Lynched, they are out.
Further, Each Player also knows the True Identity of one of the other Player. Use this Information as you will.
5 votes needed to lynch, must be in bold. Votes will be by Character Name (not Player) and should be done like so: Vote: Bob

You find yourselves in the Grand Ballroom of the New Vampire Prince - just as the masquerade ball gets underway - when the doors are abruptly shut and locked! A lowly ghoul then announces an unknown intruder in the midst and decrees that the 'loyal' protect the identity of the Prince at all costs and root out the traitor quickly. With that, he slits his own throat and leans over a table of goblets to fill them with his own blood until he finally passes out onto the floor.
Looking at everyone around you, you see that they are all in costume. Fortunately, someone has left a Guest List on the table, which includes ...

Yes, but we're not voting by players, we're voting by characters, and since everybody has been told who the prince's character is (except the assassin), they'd know that whoever votes for that character must be the assassin... As for the King/Prince thing, I think I'm getting mixed up with the last game. :P

Fair enough. I agree that the assassin is probably somebody that went with the majority vote. I also think they wouldn't have been the first person to accuse somebody, incase the person they were accusing was the Prince, and I don't think the assassin would've revealed their true identity (without being caught out). Which means (if my logic is correct) the assassin isn't:
Fireplay (Revealed his identity)
Daedalus (Revealed his identity)
Drakilian (Accused Colonel Mustard)
Tanstaafl (Accused Seargent Gray)
Cool74 (Accused me)
Forge (Accused Professor Plum)
(BTW, when I say "accused", I don't necessarily mean voted for somebody, I mean they were the first to suggest that the person could be the assassin.)

Awhh, poor old Daedalus. May he rest in peace... Or maybe come back as a ghost to haunt us and stuff. That's what I plan to do if I get lynched (provided BZ lets me) ^_^
There's a thought though... Things like vampires and zombies are called the "undead" but what if one undead thing died and came back as another undead thing? Would that make them un-undead? ... Which I guess would make them alive since it's a double negative? I dunno. Could get really complicated if there was a werewolf that was bitten by a vampire, who went on to be staked and mummified, then came back as a mummy, which then got bitten by a zombie, then got shot in the head and came back as a werewolf-vampire-mummy-zombie-ghost... Give it a year and that'll probably be the minimum standard for horror game villains... With a bit of Nazi thrown in of course.
Anyways, my vote still stands.

There's a thought though... Things like vampires and zombies are called the "undead" but what if one undead thing died and came back as another undead thing? Would that make them un-undead? ... Which I guess would make them alive since it's a double negative? I dunno. Could get really complicated if there was a werewolf that was bitten by a vampire, who went on to be staked and mummified, then came back as a mummy, which then got bitten by a zombie, then got shot in the head and came back as a werewolf-vampire-mummy-zombie-ghost... Give it a year and that'll probably be the minimum standard for horror game villains... With a bit of Nazi thrown in of course.

I actually think I sound like someone who this game was designed for, so that he wouldn't be instantly killed on the spot by suspicious people. Now said people are asking for his identity.
Now, you could very well be asking for the identity of any other player (there are a few left whom we don't know), you instead choose to focus on me. You clearly, therefore, suspect I am the assassin, despite myself being the only one actually taking any steps to move the game along, stopping us from randomly lynching an innocent player and giving us a probable pool of people among whom the assassin is most likely hidden.
Your suspicions are unfounded, based entirely on me refusing to give up my identity, and are in general ridiculous.
But if you want to come after me, randomly lynch players till you find me, kill me and then find out I'm a guard (at which point you will have essentially lost the game), then by all means, go ahead. Berka wouldn't give the assassin role to a relatively inactive or unimportant player, so Mrs. Peacock is not our gal.

Anyway, I think I'm going to change my vote again. Looking back, Cool's said things that'd suggest he isn't the assassin, and it does actually make sense that he's want to keep his identity a secret, so it probably isn't him. I'll take a closer look at the thread when I get home from work and see if there's anything that might implicate somebody else in being the assassin.

Anyway I'm back now, and I've been looking over all the clues that might suggest if a person is (or isn't) the assassin, and right now I'd probably say that you and Cool might actually be the people I least suspect. Here's a list of people still in the game and why I don't suspect them:
Fireplay – Freely admitted that he’s Ms. Peach (I don't think the assassin would admit who they were).
Drakilian – Made a joke about Colonel Mustard being a suspect because mustard's not a colour (I don't think the assassin would throw around random accusations.) Was the first person who voted for Mrs. Peacock to be lynched (I think the assassin would wait until somebody else suggested a name before voting). Has been the most active person so far in trying to figure out who the assassin is.
Tanstaafl – Suggested we vote against Seargent Gray (but also said he doubted Daedalus was actually the assassin). Admitted he was Colonel Mustard, (but only because he was called out on it). Was the first person to vote for Miss Peach.
Cool – Was the first person to vote for Reverend Green to be lynched. Also the first person to vote for Madame Rose.
Forge – The first person to vote for Professor Plum.
Hugs – Hugs has been pretty inactive and I don't think Berka would choose an inactive player to be the assassin.
Prince – So inactive that Berka revealed his identity to everybody.
... And so, by those standards, I don't suspect anybody.
Right now, I think I'm going to take a more or less random option and:
Vote: Miss Peach
Fireplay admitted his true identity, but I suppose he might've done that to gain the rest of our trust. Also he is in the voted for Mrs. Peacock club. At this point I don't really know if voting for Mrs. Peacock makes anybody more or less likely to be the assassin, but what the hell.
... A couple of other things I noticed. During the second round, Aman and Fireplay both said that they genuinely thought it was Mrs. Peacock, despite Mrs. Peacock being a random guess... Obviously Aman's dead now, but I'd like to know why Fireplay thought that.
Also, before we figured out for certain who everybody was, Cool said he was 90% sure that the assassin was Madame Rose. Why's that?

I wasn't really vying for your blood. I had a random theory that you might've voted for yourself in order to trick people into thinking you were innocent. I was in no way sure of that theory, so I asked Cool if he was Mrs. Peacock, because if he was Mrs. Peacock, that'd mean that my theory was wrong and I had no reason to suspect you. But when I asked Cool he didn't respond. Me and Tans kept asking Cool if he was Mrs. Peacock, but even though he was still posting in the forums (which meant he must've been reading the posts) he ignored our questions. Since I was only asking him to figure out who you were, I thought that him refusing to tell us who he was looked very suspicious, so I thought it was probably him.
Looking back, Cool's done more stuff to suggest that he isn't the assassin, and it does actually make sense that he'd want to keep his identity a secret. I'd have kept mine a secret too if stupid, smelly Cool hadn't gone and told everybody. :P

I'm not certain it's Miss Peach but there's a few reasons why I suspect Fireplay, the main one being is that there isn't much she's done to convince me that she's not the assassin (Earlier on I did post a list of all the characters and the things they've done that make me think they're NOT the assassin if you want to read it.) The only thing that suggests that Fireplay isn't the assassin is that he told everybody who he was at the beginning of the game, but he could have been doing that to gain our trust so we wouldn't vote for him... Also, Fireplay seems to have been playing the game quite cautiously, which could mean that he's trying to avoid suspicion.

Ganging up on Miss Peach the vampires find that she is wearing a 'Saint-Blessed' Iron Collar! It's not enough to stop the determined Vampires from finishing off the now exposed Hunter among them - but it does give her one last chance to Stake the Prince before she goes down!
Miss Peach is the Hunter/Assassin - played by Fireplay!
*Fireplay - you got one guess to Stake the Vampire Leader and win the game - otherwise the win goes to Team Edward *Sparkle Sparkle Sparkle! ;D

As Fireplay the Hunter/Assassin goes down, he slams the Holy Stake of Vamp Slaying into who he thinks is the Vampire Prince! The wooden spike penetrates the Vampire's heart and the vile creature of the night self-immolates on the spot!
Mrs. Peacock's fiery embers burn out - leaving Cool74 dead along with the Hunter.
Fortunately for the remaining Vampires, Mrs. Peacock/Cool was not the Vampire Prince.
With a victorious shout, Mrs. White removes her disguise - and it is none other than Forge - the Vampire Prince!
"Open the door to those doubting fools!" he commands - "The night is now ours!"

No one was ever willing to put the final nail in my coffin and the one time I got the full vote Drak and a bunch of other gaurds quickly backed off? To be honest if I hadn't known it was Mrs. White I would not have picked her to be the prince.

Yep. I been trying to figure out an easy way to spell it and I just didn't notice that.

Meh, to me I think that, if a guard was smart enough to vote for the prince, and if somehow all the other guards were smart enough not to automatically assume he was the assassin, they still wouldn't vote along with it, they'd just wait to see if anybody else voted for the prince and then assume that was the assassin... Otherwise they might accidentally end up lynching the Prince. :P

That statement was ridiculously stupid and untrue. You immediately singled us out as important players and, more importantly, you blatantly lied. I was trying to kill the following:
Briar, Fireplay, Hugs, Aman.
I was not trying to kill the following: Myself, Tan, you, Forge, Daedalus, Prince. (3 names missing there, bud).
Later, this was down to Fireplay and Hugs. That's 3 out of 10 players. I even specifically skipped out on Briar because her being the assassin made no sense,
You also accused me of being the assassin on the the totally bullshit explanation that my plan would work in revealing the prince... which I still don't understand, how would that work? If the prince was in the list, maybe it would have worked, but there's no reason to think the prince would draw attention to himself like that.
I was so proud of Briar when she posted that big explanation as to why we should kill forge second, by the way. She was the only one who moved to draw suspicion away from him.

The aim of the game is to keep the prince alive, even if that means that you get lynched, so saying something that gives the prince away just so that people don't suspect you is kind of the opposite of the way you're supposed to play the game. :P

Lol. It's so hard to know what to do in these situations, because there's always that worry that one of the other guards is going to be so stupid that they go, "Hey guys! That must be the assassin! He's pretending to know who the prince is, but the guy he's talking about isn't really the prince!" :P

I saw that, but couldn't point to it, because it could easily have been interpreted by the assassin as, 'hey, only the Assassin and King don't know who the King is (figuratively speaking), and I'm the Assassin, so...'

Just in the way that I didn't treat her as I suspect, like sometimes when I gave a list of people who voted for Mrs. Peacock, I'd deliberately leave Hugs out. Or one time I said that Hugs looked suspicious and then put in brackets that it was only a joke and I didn't really suspect her. I guess it must've been a bit too subtle. :P
