Hello, Everyone!
My name is Jason, and I've went by the handle Endless Flight for four years.
I am mostly known on the internet for creating sites that attract nerds. :D My greatest works are Groovy Gamers (http://www.groovygamers.com), a roleplay-by-post website, which I founded and owned for two years, and Freedom City Play-By-Post (http://www.endlessflight.net/freedom), which I founded and still own. Often imitated, but never replicated!

You know you where a big inspiration for me, in that I would never have thought to take my creation online, had I not stumbled on Groovy Gamers way back when. I saw in Groovy Gamers that a little site could take off and grow into a great community with only a few dedicated folks to start.
I hope to duplicate that kind of vibe and success here :)

Hey Asteroth - nice to see you found us :)
Actually, we did tell everyone on a number of sites (including GG), but are really just waiting untill we have something we can put in peoples' hands before really pushing the recruitment thing.
Right now, the forum is pretty much where Thayan and I toss developmental ideas around and were we keep folks up to date on where we are at in the process.
Once we are published, then I excpect this site to grow and grow :)

Yea, and speaking of which I just got the last bit of artwork, so the layout should be done in about 3 weeks or less if I can manage it...:)

We do have what 4 modules that need art... so work on whatever you want or can and I am sure we can accomidate

Yeah, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things roleplaying-wise. I haven't been on the sites much lately.
In fact, I just started trying to get some of the Groovy Gurus from Groovy Gamers to post on my new forum that I've started. I decided to put in the effort (i.e. $$$ an a lot of time) to see if I could create a little magic. It's always worth it. I didn't pay the last bill. That's why it was suspended. Plus I lost my laptop for about four to five months, so my internet connecting ability was spotty at best. A PS3 just doesn't cut it very well and my wife's work laptop wasn't available at all times. I just got my laptop back after it was scrubbed of many viruses. :)
I lost my last one but I've rebooted it and plan to start a Lord of the Rings adventure in a few days. I modeled this new forum almost exactly like the very first edition of Groovy Gamers! You could say I copied myself, but since I liked the vibe of that place so much I figured it wouldn't be too bad. Everyone here's invited if they feel inclined. I'm using SMF.

I hear ya. I thought my motherboard was shot on my laptop. I had it sitting there for months. Finally, my wife suggested that I take it to a local shop before I started looking for another laptop. I took it down there and they were very friendly. They called me up the next day and told me that after 1.5 hours they had it pretty well cleaned up. It was viruses, not any hardware issues. I found it hard to believe because the thing just stopped while I was using it, no warning. It saved me a bundle.

Just wanted to check up on you and see how you were doing. Hope all is well. I haven't talked to you guys in months and months. Sorry I bailed on the PbP game! I faded in and out of the internet for years and years it seemed like. I was hopping and skipping all over the place, especially after I sold Groovy off. Plus I had some personal life issues that our family went through, but it's looking up!
I'm recently started up the Roleplay Realm site again last September and it's doing well now. I'm running one game on there and it's almost up to 400 posts. Woo hoo! Stop on by if you ever miss the old groovy charm. I tried to keep it.

I just checked out those pics from the convention. Looks like fun! I've been trying to hunt for a good
real life group to join lately, but I've just been doing PbP on the site. My d6 game is the longest one I've ever run.
I've taken two breaks, but that's better than stopping permanently.

I looked up the system (if its edge of the empire you're thinking of) it looks really awesome, and it looks loke its trying to draw players away from playing a Jedi and and focus more on the mercanery and coloniser stuff.

I have returned from the netherworld of the Force with some news.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Groovy Gamers' founding in December 2004, I have decided to raise it from the dead like a phoenix rises from the ashes! We will eventually be located at GroovyGamers.com, but you can find us at GroovyGamers.net for the time being.
The first game we played at GG was a d20 Star Wars game where BZ was one of the players. In honor of that, I will be running a FFG Star Wars game to kick off version 3.0 of GG.
I will be reaching out to people to try and get a reunion of as many Groovy Gurus as I can over the next month.
