Late to the party, as always. While I've played alot on roll20, what I find works best is Foundry. It's a bit complicated at firs, but it very modern and usually has a ton of mods for various systems.

D out.

Oh wow, thanks for the detailed list. I'll definitely not start with the ones you suggested though. If I do that, I get the feeling the others will be a let down, haha. And while reading translated can be a pain in the butt, it's something I've done before so shouldn't be too much of an issue. I did read the entire Overlord LN's.

Quote
All of these are pretty good, I'd recommend either Mother of Learning or Pith first if you're interested though. They're both the highest quality on that list and mother of learning is completed, while Pith has a very natural stopping off point. Lord of the Mysteries is also good but it's translated so unless you're used to that kind of writing it might be off-putting to you. Pretty good translation all things considered though.

Oh my god. He get's Isekaid into a tree? I don't know why that frekkin intrigues me, but I guess I'll start with that one!

Oh? Got anything you'd recommend?

Yeah, I feel that. I've done it plenty of times, though I always picked it back up on nights when I was bored.

Yes, im necroing here.

End of an era! What did all of you think about the end? I think it ended quite abruptly. It left several important details out, and I'm not satisfied with it at all. There were just so much more he could have explained other than "Gang back, mission complete, Fark those guys"

Yes, I did keep my post vague on the off chance that some of you have yet to read it.

Yeah, thanks Forge. Glad we got people like you there looking after those in need. Where I live our every day life has mostly been the same (except for a shortage of TP) luckily. From the looks of it I'm still heading out for work by the end of the month which I've got conflicting feelings about but got to pay bills.

I do hope you guys stay safe if you're in bad areas. Especially you Forge. You the real MVP.

Not that you asked, but I'll go ahead and tell you what's up in D's life these days.

.. Nothing much really. Just relaxing and having a good time in general, job is unstable right now because of the damn virus so not much to do really, which is a blessing in disguise considering the amount of stress factors that been piling up lately. Nice with a change of pace.

Gratz on the grandkids though! Thats one of the benchmarks of being old (or so I'm told).

Hope the virus haven't messed with your day to day life too much!

Edit: Oh, and I'm also up för a game, should anyone run one.  Been itching to play since I started listening to narrated D&D stories on YouTube.

Alright, I haven't been ignoring this, just been to lazy to type a response from my phone.

First of all, let me start with a congratulations on the grandchildren (Feeling old yet? ;))

Then, let me come up with a good thing to say about the rest... Thanks for these, uh, what six - seven years. It's been awesome and I do mean that. Been wanting to say that a while now. Now, maybe, just maybe since I just became unemployed today until spring, we could do an adventure over discord, or well, any voice chat really. I would prefer not to run it, as I frekkin hate running games.

Thoughts?

Butch laughs.
"At least I cared enough to check, right?"

"I suppose" Jacob said as he scratched his chin. "Oh well, still alive. Oh, and if you're going up there I'll cover you from the crane, the higher up I can get the better"

Man, I gave it to D assuming he had the highest demolitions, but it's just a 7

Forge actually has the highest sabotage in our group

Yeah, I assumed mine was pretty decent as well. Haha my demo is semi crap. But obviously up for the task

OOC - Up to D if Jacob is still alive or goes down with the ship haha!  ;D

Why would I want to be there haha, just RP'ing his NPC syndrome  ;)

"Jacob, you left the sub first right?" He checks on the com.

"No, I'm slowly sinking to the bottom of the ocean. It's been a nice run." Jacob said sarcastically.

 *pause for effect"

"Who in their right mind would want to be in a sinking submarine? I'll set up shop and cover you on your way back here" Jacob would then try to get to the closest vantage point and cover Crystal's and Butch's escape.

"Who wants to steal the other sub and who wants to blow it up as we leave?"

"I can handle the blowing up part, though I'd still hafto enter it to blow it up." Jacob said with a shrug.

Crystal retrieves a single claymore package and hands it to Jacob, perhaps a little overly stingy after his wasteful display back at the factory.

"Set this up somewhere on their sub just in case Jacob"

Jacob didn't seem to notice the stingy bit and took the c4 with a grin. "Easy peasy"

"This is not a real sub. There's no scopetube." Jacob said  with a disappointed look on his face.

"Was there any security guarding the way in?"

23
Tales of the Dandy Desperado! / Re: Fortune Cookie Fix
« on: August 30, 2019, 06:24:48 am »
Jacob continues his search for what he has now named scopetube.

Upon hearing Crystals remark on Gilbert, he sighs, and mumbled mostly to himself "the difference between having a dick and being one"

24
Tales of the Dandy Desperado! / Re: Fortune Cookie Fix
« on: August 23, 2019, 07:11:11 am »
Jacob sighs and speaks up.

"Do the sub come with an uhhhh, scope? Scopetube? Binocular tube? Whatever its called we'll probably need it."

"Haha! A masterpiece!" Jacob exclaims as he finished putting down the C4, this time he set it up for remote detonation. Or maybe he did for the other aswell, he just couldn't remember. Either way, he set it up for a glorious explosion.

And with that, as he presumably was the last one to leave through the tunnel he will set it off when he was safely away from the hatch.

"Look at that." Butch says triumphantly. "Next step the ocean."

"Any thoughts on how to cover this up so they can't follow us?"

" yeah, I can get creative here aswell" Jacob said with a ominous looking smile as he pulled out some c4.

With a satisfied smile Jacob looks at his handiwork and nods. It would have to do.

"Okay, doors are now deathtraps, we got a relatively Good headstart should they try to storm us" Jacob said over the comlink as he ran back to the others.

"Oh well. Samuels most likely dead, Cillian pussied out and we're Farked." Jacob Said over the comlink from whereever he was. "I'm blowing up the entrences. I'm a dead man walking if they catch me." And with that Jacob rushes to place C4 at the entrences, he may have forgotten how much he should be using howevever... (he'll use too much C4)

Saladin stares incredulously at Joseph. "I've been stripped of my senses, had my own blood boil inside me, I've even been gutted like a pig, and you ask me if im alright?"

A dry, short pained laugh escapes Saladin. "I will be. But we need to leave. Soon this place will be swarming with humans."

Saladin will activate his auspex to try and see peoples auras. "One can always hope.." he said doubtfully to noone in particular.

Saladin would then check if he has anything to start a fire with to burn the shadows away

How did Steeple restrain the shadow and cut it with one arm?

Did he jump up and hold the shadows with his legs? Because i can totally picture Steeple doing that

Saladin tries to scream in pain, but is only rewarded with more pain and blood for his effort.

I'm sure he wont kill us, or, well me atleast, but what can i do... to help my friends? Well, Heldric atleast, im sure the madman Will find a way to- his thoughtprocces was interrupted by Another coughing fit.

Saladin will begin to swear profusely in Arabic, coughing while blood flows from various points from his head and and gutted abdomen.

He begins to desperately try and pull the shadows away from him, first with only his arms, then with his mind. (He'll stop if it causes him to lose blood or entrails)

Uh, damn. So much for getting off easy because he's my sire. What are the options available to Saladin? I just dont see anything i can do without smashing the houses around him with telekinetic force. And i'm not sure im even able to do that, with Saladins entrails on the floor

Saladin looks to the shadowy figures darting after Anton.
"Shadows playings trick on my mind" he muttered.
And besides, Husayn would not end Anton, he put far to much effort into defending him earlier.

With a shrug he turns away and flies towards whereever he heard Helric from earlier.
