practice with friends first.  you'll start out with a more relaxed environment and they won't be overly critical of you during the game...

...except your husband...

...and Ray...

come to think of it, run a few solo games with Suzie and get comfortable first  ;D

"RA" will strike again!  Whatever accent will "THOR" grace us with this week? ;D

I think the party needs to stop worrying about Thor's accents and just keep him away from the sorority houses!   :P

I have attained my grenade without spamming.

Nothing "sexshul" about wet noodle lashings....it's cold, sticky, and icky. A perfect punishment. Plus it leaves no marks!

and good to eat afterward!

The funny thing about all this is BZ has more patience than I do. I am the nut! I am however looking forward to playing your game at Gen-Con. No kids this time. I can actually play and not have to worry about them interrupting. They know I shut my phone off during games.  :)

a wise decision...you won't get much cell phone signal in the center of the Labyrinth!  mwaahahahaha!!!

Suzie and i both saw the Half-Blood Prince.  with only a couple minor issues, i found it a good movie and a good credit to Harry Potter omniverse.  i am still very partial to the first four movies, but i also liked those books the best.  anything was better than the butchering the series took from the Order of the Phoenix movie!

I'm bored.

someone tell me their favorite/funniest/or most bizarre gaming story.

You may remember this. I am certain I will not forget it. Gaming horror story of children calling every 3 1/2 minutes to find their mother. We were playing a game run by Jay at JP's and my kids called every  minute until I had to leave. Great time for everyone. Thanks kids. :P

ahh yes...i remember it well, Lori.  but i appreciated you being there nonetheless.  if anything, i was more fascianted about how long your relationship would last once you found out JP's typical punishment for annoying little girls was a time out....

...and by time out, i mean staking them immobile to the yard for 3 hours!

Been away for the weekend (up in Old Saybrook Connecticut) with the Pyong Hwa Kunin Tangs Soo Do Association and visiting Great Grand Master Song, Ki Kim, of the World Dang Soo Do Union.

We had some wonderful seminars with the Great Grand Master, and of course, I was finally presented with my belt and the rank of Master, in the Korean art of Tang Soo Do.

It has been a long journey for me – I started this road over twenty years ago – but where one journey ends. a new one begins J

BZ

well done, my friend!  i guess the next step is for you to travel to China to finish your training under Pai Mei.  now that you're a 4th degree black belt, i feel the need to get back on the mat with you and receive my 4th degree black & blue marks!  until then, i simply leave you with my congrats!

sorry, Braddock, i don't have my Setting Addition up for DGC yet.  still cleaning up the magic system a bit and need some work on the Labyrinth, but i'll make sure to post it here when i upload it to my site.  in the meantime, please check out the core LDS and let me know what you think.  any suggestions would be appreciated.

if my icon doesn't give it away, i am a little partial to my own, the Lonely Die System.  although the system is designed as a generic engine capable of running any kind of game, i definitely favor the Setting Additions i created for The Dresden Files and the Death Gate Cycle universes.  for anyone interested in checking out my game, please visit www.lonelydie.com

now that the free pimping is done...the other i favor....

for d20 settings, i have my grand trifecta of Dragonlance, Midnight, and Scarred Lands (White Wolf will never be forgiven!!!)

i am a huge fan of the oWoD and 1st edition Exalted by White Wolf, but the new stuff is crap in my humble opinion.

always up for a CoC game...i'm sure i have some SAN left in my pocket somewhere....nope, just lint.

currently, i am running a game of Unknown Armies online through Fantasy Grounds tabletop network.

Hi FaePooka glad to see you finally made it over for a visit  ;D

And yes, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you guys at Gen Con this year.  I see that one of Jay’s BHB game sessions overlaps with one of mine (the last hour of his and the first hour of mine).

Since he’s going to be at the next table over, I’m debating whether to bring a Nerf Gun, water balloons, or to just throw dice ;)

just remember BZ, i don't just believe in retaliation but also escalation.  my table can take the damage towards the end of the session.  your players may have to play inside a crater for another 3 hours!

Official Rules Questions / I'm Psycho for Psychosis!
« on: April 24, 2009, 07:57:09 pm »
while perusing the section on Psychic Powers, i read the part involving Psychosis and that characters with a Nutcase score of 20 goes insane and immediately becomes an NPC until he's tracked down and stuck in a clinic.  however, acquiring the order 6 powers in certain Spheres (Awareness, Telekinesis, Pyrokinesis) automatically take you to 20 without ever failing a Psychosis roll.  does this mean you cannot become a master of a Sphere without going certifiably over the cukkoo's nest?

on a related note, the same section mentions the use of Psychotherapy clinics to reduce total Psychosis if you reach 20.  is there a Psychotherapy skill available for PCs and could it be used preemptively to reduce a Psychosis score?
