Emend observes the others during this time. He knew that the numbers they saw earlier were supposed to be a location somewhere on the internet. He just couldn't figure out how they would actually reach the location.
However it seems Saint had discovered the way. In here you simply had to say what you wanted, and the "internet" would respond. No doubt the archway would lead them at least in the right direction of Faith. Thinking this, Emend silently followed Saint through the archway.

"Looks like we'll have to postpone our cooking project," Emend remarks. "I suppose we could help up a floor and pick out our rooms while the others take care of the attic," he suggests.

"Since the place was more abandoned than anything I'd imagine so," Emend replies. "Let's check out the kitchen then, shall we?"
Then, suddenly remembering, he turns to the rest of the disciples. "By the way, in order to enter the doll room you have to be naked."
He'll also dispel magic shield, as it's currently redundant and making him over his spell tolerance.

"That's right, she's nobody's slave!" Emend adds, walking up besides UsdiYona.
"She's our pet, or possibly our mascot, but not a slave."
He then brings his attention back to the Spaniard, and Saint's attempt to recruit him. Emend finds what Saint says strange, as the Hippie had reacted the same way to whatever he saw, meaning they are probably leading to the same place. By all accounts they should just let the Spaniard pass on to the afterlife.
However, Emend decides he trusts Saint enough not to question his judgement, for now.

Deciding it has served its purpose, Emend ends his supernal vision. He then prepares to counter the spell using counter-spell the next time it tries to strengthen its hold on them.

Emend decides to hold moving until the newly spawned demon attacks. If it uses magic he'll attempt to use counter-spell. Otherwise hell pull out his pistol and attempt to shoot the creature in the eye, suspecting the bullets may not be able to penetrate its armour.
