Damn, dude, that sucks. Sounds like you gave him a long, long, wonderful life, though. If I only had 8 years to live from beginning to end, I'd like to be a rabbit in his position.

I was thinking parasites, not infections

He's only using a glove, Drak. Children don't come from those.

Seriously though, how the Fark is "glove" a reference to a dick? Why would you wrap a glove?  Who even wears a glove whenever hands get involved down there? I think Howie Mandell has to be the only one!

The guy who plays Shane from walking dead is the publisher... it looks incredible

I always wish they gave the Publisher character more love. I mean, what's not awesome about a reporter who puts everyone's dirty secrets in Hustler Magazine and then blows up their stuff?

I'm more interested in heading to China, if only because I want to say I lived in a monastery and became a Shaolin Disciple on my resume, dating site profile, or on my obituary. Apparently, that's a thing people can do. You can even earn orange robes!

But if you ever get the opportunity to travel to a foreign country for non crime or militiary reasons, no matter where it is, do it. Not only is it goddamn amazing and culturally enriching, but they don't have Trump on the news every time you turn around! That's a recipe for inspiration if I ever saw one. It'll be an adventure, and a safe one, as long as you stay out of some of the nastier parts.

FRIJOLES!

Daedalus was the Shantyman! It was his job to sing songs in order to keep morale and working rythm up. Therefore, he was awarded frijoles for every post that involved singing and rhyming!... Unfortunately, he seemed to be more of a morale detriment than anything, and was unjustly murdered before he could post again. He has been assigned to the fate of trailing behind Sethaniel with 2 FRIJOLES!

Sethaniel was the captain, and you see, once you get attacked by sushi monsters in some uncharted part of the ocean, you may start to feel a bit burnt out about this whole 'pirate captain' thing. Burnt out as he was, he planned on becoming a stand-up comedian when he reached land, and earned bonus frijoles for every post with puns in it!... Dedicated as he was, it was just too damn difficult to keep up with all those other posts. He has earned a grand-ass total of 6 FRIJOLES!

Berkazerka was secretly a Ninja, who had taken refuge as aboard the ship ever since the Pirate-Ninja wars of 1713. He earned Frijoles for every reference to Japan he could make, and through his fluent use of Engrish, puns, and a possible Naruto reference, he earned a grand total of 8 FRIJOLES!

Aeon Spiral was (not so) secretly a viking cleverly disguised as a pirate this entire time! He earned a frijole in every post where his viking heritage was referenced, and would have earned 10 points for every person he converted to paganism. After careful counting, he only managed 10 FRIJOLES, but is still well on his way to Feng-shui master!

Aman was secretly a time-traveler, who earned Frijoles for every anachronistic statement he made... This future knowledge did prove suspicious, but he managed to earn 12 FRIJOLES by flaunting scientific and cultural literacy beyond his time!

Playa had 28 FRIJOLES, if my fingers count right... The cannons left him partially deaf, so he had to yell in order to hear himself better. Which, in hindsight, isn't quite as difficult as all the shit everyone else was tasked with, but last time I tried it, it didn't seem so overpowered. That might've been because everyone instantly lynched Deadalus when he had it, but still!

We could have a loud debate about whose posts should be worth more or less since I forgot to balance it out with multiple-frijoles-per-post-type dealios.

Through some magical magnificent miracle, Playa actually did correctly infer that Sethaniel was the cap'n!

As the Captain's corpse is thrown overboard, a maddening form leaps out of the water and devours it, then tentacles start furiously molesting the boat. The fish man, victory claimed, swims away as the merry band of pirates is devoured by the cuttlefish monster of L'yech!

Calculating frijoles...

I dunno, man... I mean, Keanu's great for production purposes, but I'm not sure he's Spike material, and I know that's what they're planning. I mean, judging from the 7 episodes I've seen on youtube. He doesn't seem capable of pulling off that kind of subtle charm.

Depends on the four people and the GM. I sometimes consider making a one-on-one game, or two-on-one game with some of the players out here. Sometimes I think out little stories with the characters in vampire, and feel sorry that their potential is confined by the presence of other players and the rules of the game world.

Yes, but in Mafia/Assassin games, going in with 4 people is kind of silly, unless they're so deeply immersed in their characters that they legitimately can't tell that the one other guy left is an assassin.

I feel as if Sent overstimates weed dealers/understimates the brutes you face in football XD

You're probably right. My entire weed dealer experience consists of 5'11" farmer boys in John Deere hats behind bleachers with at least one scary gorilla cousin on standby, whose entire combat experience comes from football and wrestling, and all of whom probably hit like space shuttles. If I actually got close enough, I'd probably hear Deliverance banjos too.

Not that I've bought weed, but it's pretty difficult to miss them behind those bleachers. Unless you're a teacher, or a cop, or any law-enforcing authority, for that matter. Maybe it's just because I always head that way on my way home, though.

I've taken some time to deliberate on this. Assuming she's just making a face with you and her lips aren't like that all the time, (nothing's wrong with them, but I swear the facial expression is so damn similar) and now that you shaved your Bob Marley off and she's dyed her hair, she probably looks 70.056% less like my aunt in real life than she does in that picture.

*44$, not 60

I've downloaded Shadow of Mordor but haven't gotten around to playing it. I hear the fighting system is like the Arkham knight fighting though - in which case Shadow Warrior is probably better. For reference, here's the trailer:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiZCCE3uo1Q

The swordfighting is exactly as advertised.

The guns kinda suck but there's some nice upgrades (like the exploding crossbow bolts or the flamethrower bomb).

The humour's also awesome.

That's farking it. I need to get this!

I think the biggest change to Aman has to be what I think his voice sounds like now. I imagined Aman as having a lighter-pitched male voice, but the behemoth in the picture definitely has a deep boom that just might literally blow you away.

I actually kinda imagined that he sounded like the Default Nord in Oblivion, but now he definitely sounds more like Brian from Family Guy.

Official Rules Questions / Re: Implementing martial arts in BHB?
« on: August 20, 2015, 04:53:32 pm »
This would be very difficult to arrange however as the more complexity you add to the hp system the harder it gets to track, which bar does the attack affect? How do you account for the different types of strikes and defence which would alter what is affected etc.

I was thinking that I would change it so that all different weapons had different levels of effectiveness towards health bars, and that the effectiveness would determine how it divvies up the damage to the health bars. Different martial arts would change the body into different weapons and grant resistances to certain weapons/fortify certain health bars.

Brazilian kickboxing, for example, would deal high damage to head organs, torso organs and musculature, and fortify bones and muscular tissue in the legs.

And then, of course, if you leveled it up enough, you'd be able to pull off stunts like nerve strikes, unarmed weapons disarms, death blows, etc.

Official Rules Questions / Implementing martial arts in BHB?
« on: August 20, 2015, 03:35:22 pm »
I understand that this was kinda done before with the Drunken Boxer perks, but that was insanely powerful endgame material. What I'm looking for at the moment is a way to implement different fighting styles in such a way that players can pick fights and manage their playstyle based around their different fighting styles in a way that mechanically affects melee and grapple combat. What I've come up with so far is making 5 health bars (Bones, internal organs, (if applicable) Cyberware, (if it's there) muscles, and bones) applying a set for each limb and the torso, and making the weapons and fighting styles affect these all differently.

Of course, the problem with having a bajillion health bars is that you end up getting crippling injuries, grotesque disfigurements, and debilitating pains in the ass even after a knife fight with two extras. Victories often become Pyrrhic and unrealistically costly unless you've stealth-killed your way through the goons, so I assume it'd be a good way to go if you're going to make a game about thieves or geeks or adventure game protagonists or some other form of character that tends to avoid combat at all costs.

Naturally, I need another way of going about this, and I'd like to know if you have any ideas.
