I'll take mine after Kiel and Berka posts themselves ^_^

I guess we'll never get to see Killa's face... damn shame, I know.

Yeah, Jace is more or less the poster boy. I few Walkers have gotten the better of him though.

Lilliana, Nicol Bolas, and Tezzeret. Jace needed help to defeat Tezzy in the end, and Nicol Outright stomped Jace. That's who I figure you're referring to. Ajani beat Bolas once. So arguments could be made.

I also suspect that the Lord of Innistrad would be a fair match for the young Genius.

Before becoming the Living Guildpact, Jace was almost killed by Varolz.
This nasty joker,

Yeah, I was referring to Nicol Bolas. (True, but Lilliana cheats. xD *has fought her a few times*) Oh. Right, he did need help with Tezzeret, huh? (Yeah, I do remember mentioning Ajani as a possibility when arguing with a Jace fanboy, lol.) Hence me throwing in "normally," because I'm aware that the guy isn't invincible, but he's still pretty damn durable.

Jace's was the stronger deck there, same with him vs Chandra. Which makes sense. The duel decks were both reflections of in lore fights. Both of which Jace won.

Yep. Anything lore related and Jace normally wins / gets out relatively unscathed. I can only think of one character who's thought to be stronger than he is, tbh. Dude's kinda OP... which isn't why I liked him enough to make him my avatar on CYS, but it doesn't hurt.

Got a whole bunch coming up, ending Oct 4. Will be gone until tomorrow night.

... I know I learned about all of them as a kid, but damn, sometimes I forget just how many there are. 0.o

Innistrad was a great set. That's the set where I started to become an especially competent limited player. I'm finally getting into standard now.

Which Jace?

Architect of Thought. I realize he's had much nastier versions, though. We split the Jace VS Vraska set, and though I wanted Jace, I do not do 'blue' because of my play style. I have regretted it quite a few times since.

Yeah, I knew you played. :) Was Return to Ravnica your first set? Have you kept up with the new sets?

Innistrad, actually. And I did, for a while, until life got crazy. I won a tournament a month ago (or so?) with a borrowed deck because my extortion deck is pretty out-dated. I still piss my sweetheart off with it on occasion, though. (I love Orzhov.) Of course, it bites me in the ass if Jace gets drawn...

But yeah, I love my workplace. Keep in mind this place only has 3-4 employees, so we're fairly close. He knew I wouldn't just not show up without a reason.

I have ... literally never been in an environment like that. It sounds nice. Slightly jealous atm. I'm sorry you were sick though.

then got a text at noon asking how I was doing.

So, you're telling us that--as far as they knew, you just didn't show up to work, no explanation or call before hand (even though you did call, they just did not get it in time) and all you got was a text asking how you were? ... How? What is it you do that involves people that nice? >_> I would've had like, ten calls and at least three people texting me demanding that I explain myself / get my ass to work immediately if I was so much as 20 minutes late.

Edit: "Fark tires" ... that about sums up one morning I had about a week ago. xD

It's "Italian," kiddo. Italics are when your words are slanted. Nice to see you again, by the way.

Danish? DANISH?

I'm swedish. :(

... Congratulations, but my bestie is Danish. >_> My ex is Swedish, and ... well, the highest compliment I can pay to your country thus far is that I refuse to believe that person is an accurate reflection on your people. xD I also know someone from Finland and my Danish friend has a Norwegian pal who he introduced me to, so as soon as I meet someone from Iceland, I'll have met someone from every nordic country, haha.

Nope, I don't, but I kinda wish we did, haha ... I do love hearing about Nordic traditions from my Danish bestie.

Betrayal at House on the Hill / Re: Betrayal Gameplay Thread

Professor Jones explores the upper landing, hoping to find one of the other party members or something more interesting than the front door key.

Deciding that the key fits the front door, Jones slips it into his pocket and resumes searching the house for something more interesting. He decides to climb the stairs to the next floor, grumbling to someone, probably a late wife, about the fact that no one appreciates a good ranch-style home anymore.

Professor Jones glances up from the skeleton key at the kids / young ones shrieking. "If you're not dying, don't scream like you are." He mutters to himself, "probably just saw a large bug or something." He wanders around the first floor a while longer, hoping to find something that the key will unlock.

Prof. Jones watches the heiress and witch with a small scowl. "Kids these days, just rushing in, not thinking at all." He meanders around the first floor carefully, studying the walls and floors. He tries to keep an eye on the others, too, while mumbling to an imaginary companion.

XD

As soon as you said his first name was Henry. . .

*chuckles* Yeeeah, I didn't think most people would remember what his first name actually is. I didn't know during my childhood, but I was admittedly more interested in the games and I'm pretty positive they never mentioned his real first name. Though I do remember that this exchange took place: "Indiana? Sounds like the name of one of yours states... or possibly the name of a cat..." "Actually, it was the name of a dog." "SOPHIA!" Ahh, good times.

Betrayal at House on the Hill / Professor Jones (Kiel)
« on: July 31, 2014, 06:54:01 pm »
Name: Professor Jones.

Description: His first name is actually Henry, but nobody ever calls him that these days since he only ever introduces himself as "Professor Jones." (He took a cane to the last guy that tried to call him by his first name.) A somewhat sour older man who seems to resent the younger generation. When he's not going off on rants about something or other, or having heated conversations with thin air presumably inhabited by long deceased friends, he tells stories about touring the world and getting into grand adventures in his glory days. Now following a bunch of whippersnappers an allegedly haunted house is pretty much the best he can do.

Wears a dress shirt, blazer, formal slacks, glasses.

Might  1/2/3/4/5/5/6/6

Speed  2/2/4/4/5/5/6/6

Sanity  1/3/3/4/5/5/6/7

Knowledge  4/5/5/5/5/6/7/8

Hobbies/Interests: History, mostly ancient history, but he's dabbled in a few fields beyond his own such as the paranormal / supernatural. Knows a little about fist-fighting and wound dressing from 'back in the day' though how much of it he can actually remember is up for debate. (Props if you've already figured out who this is suppose to be.)

Items:

Skeleton Key:  The key to open any door.  You can open the Vault or Locked Safe without needing to roll dice.  If a haunt says you can attempt to open the front door of the house, you can open it without rolling dice.
