"Okay Zeek, We gotta move!"

Natalia takes Zeeks arm, or vice versa if he's on the ball somehow, and starts making some headway.

Natalia shouts to Ezekiel, making a quick dash towards him as he limps along in the snow, she's not sure why he didn't declare his status over the coms, but if he doesn't she's about to.

When she reaches him she gives him one of her pain pills.

"Oh, goodness. Injuries look allot worse in reality."

She speaks into the communicator,
"Zeek's hurt. status captain? orders?"

"No sign of anyone Montoya? There was something moving into there recently. Stay sharp."

Natalia says over the com as she draws near the loading dock.

Before Natalia moves up, she looks over at Jones, "So, would you call this your, 'run of the mill' bounty hunt? Or what?"

She walks towards the mill over the frozen mud. She doesn't necessarily want to get any closer, but... It's on Montoya's suggestion, why not?

She is wearing her armored police vest and has drawn her deck pistol.

(Unless you don't want her to have had time to put it on sense I didn't really mention it. Just figured she'd put it on once the atmosphere didn't require a skinsuit anymore.)

She dawned in advance her winter wear, and watches carefully, as requested.

"In advance only?" She asks after a wait, humored sounding, "Sounds like you just might miss out."

She's very nervous, but it only just barely bleeds into her tone. This comes down as the second, maybe third most nerve-racking day of her life. She's never seen anything like this in person.

"Montoya, Zeek, did you guys see that? I'm pretty sure somebody just ran inside the Building from the deck."

"Thank you for flying with Air Jones," Olesk Jones is heard over the ship comms, the doors to the bridge remaining sealed.

"I'll wait here for you. Good luck."

"Oh, and I'll be on this frequency if you need me. If anything starts shooting at the ship though, I'm leaving until you guys deal with it yourselves."

Natalia is all smiles, it's attractive, but a little mischievous,
"Not exactly a bastion of heroism are you Mr. Jones? My thanks for getting us this far."

Captain Montoya, Ezekiel, and Natalia, leave Moonkit (and the dog) aboard the Desperado and head out the hatch on the underbelly of the ship. It is an absolutely exhilarating experience for Natalia, being weightless and floating the short distance between the hatch and the Swamp Rat 9 - its airlock open to receive everyone. For the Captain (and even Ezekiel), it's not their first time free floating in space.

Natalia floats blissfully, they'd intended to actually put her in space for the scene, but it just didn't work out that way. It left her with a custom made skinsuit barely worn. While made to be fully functional, it was still made for Hollywood. It therefor deliberately accentuates her assets.

They'd even gone as far as coaching her on what to do in this environment. It comes to her naturally.

"Code?!?" Olesko Jones yells, "You didn't give them your code in advance? Shit! What's the code?!?"

When the alarms go off, she doesn't panic quite like one might imagine. She centers up and even looks for a moment like she might be planning to do something.

Montoya immediatly sends the code to Jones as well as out over open comms to be safe and ensure that they hear it.

No less, Montoya handles it. 'He's a very strange man,' she thinks, 'however a dependable one I think.'

She waits, anticipating with positive outlook what might happen next.

'I guess I'll have to go then. Well, I don't have to, but...'

Natalia grabs her SOL phone and makes sure her 'collection' (*Cough* drugs *Cough*) is secured, for Moonkit's sake, before picking up the suggested supplies from the armory. It helps her to think of the dangerous weapons as meager props. She grabs some paper, passing back through the lounge, decided that making origami turtles is a pretty cool thing to do.

She really would have happily chosen to stay with Moonkit and the dog until she thought of something instantly terrifying:

She would be on board The Dandy Desperado, a ship that she does not know how to pilot, her soul companions a dog and a child, orbiting a heavenly body she knows almost nothing about, for an unknown amount of time, with an unknown person pursuing her, and to top it all off, if something goes wrong with Montoya and Ezekiel, she might not even know what happened, ever. Somehow, she'd much rather board the Swamp Rat...

All that aside, she looks damn fine in her skinsuit.

"Wait, are we boarding by space walk?"

Natalia admits to herself that Moonkit probably knows how to use the guns better than she does. It's weird, that both of these bounty hunters want her along, expect her along. What do they think she can do exactly? Lull the bad guys into a false sense of security with a smile and autographs?

Natalia heads off to put on her skin suit, then packs all her permits, a handful of pain pills (9) three anti toxin, three antirad, her deck pistol, all her permits, her armored vest, and an elegant and warm winter wear outfit.

"My derring-do is for the Big Screen only I'm afraid...Really I'm more of a refugee here, while I figure out what to do about...well, yeah, I do allot of my own stunts and I know how to use a gun, but I'm not a real action hero type."

She laughs a little to cover her awkwardness, realizing that Ezekiel and Montoya might very well expect her to have boots on the ground...she thought she'd signed up for babysitting...It was clearly needed!

"Thanks Moonkit. I'll bet you can learn it too, if you want."

Natalia notices that Ezekiel has gotten a little down about the whole thing, which is a little disheartening since she'd been having allot of fun, especially the humor she got out of some of her more spectacular duds.

"So, Zeek. When you and Montoya bust in there and put the kibosh on this Popsicle hunt, what's your skill set?"

"I have quite a few writs sitting around. I never really spent much of the money I got out of my movies. Only one really expensive...hobby. I could pitch in for the rental so you and Zeek here can do your thing."

She answers, finishing an origami piece not much better than Ezekiel's.

"Okay, great. I'll grab a couple things and be right back."

Assuming there's somewhere she can access the extranet on the ship, she does so, downloading the video onto her cellphone. (Surely the far modern future has phones up for the task!)

She takes a pain pill while she's at it and heads back to the lounge.

Gently, she laughs, "You know, he showed me that one...I obviously have no idea how he did it!"
Her enthusiasm isn't dampened, "Say, I'll bet we can look it up on the extranet and practice the folds," she pauses deliberately, "If you care for the company that is."

She strikes one of those smiles that's hard to turn down.

"So they're just for fun then?"
Natalia smiles cheerfuly.
"I stayed with a guy who did origami once! Really cool art form. What kinds of things do you know how to make?"
She withholds a decidedly skeptical look.

"Oh, okay. Well, I'll just be going then. Sorry I wasn't more help planet side."

She leaves hesitantly, 'Maybe I should have made a way to contact captain Rimcrest,'

In the lounge a curious survey of the brick shaped series of paper n' foil wads captures Natalia's imagination,

"Ezekiel, what are all these for?"

Natalia takes the opportunity before Moonkit makes her way to the bridge, to have a short audience with him herself,

"Captain, if I can have just a minute, you suggested once that you might know about...whoever's after me. Can we talk about that sometime soon?"

She'd been briefly stunned by his bringing up Franz, he was a generally agreeable guy, really not the best producer in her opinion, but he didn't seem like someone who would do that.

"It was a really weird situation all around. I'm out here to get some distance, new experiences, perspectives, meet people. We're after a poacher."

Natalia had adopted her professional posture, the one with the lady-like charm, and held herself to look pleasant and reasonably calm. (Spend a luck point to activate Flawless Decorum)

"Captain Rimcrest, it's dreadful to meet under these circumstances. I'm Natalia Alashire," she pauses for a moment, to gauge his response, "This couldn't be what you imagined yourself doing today, I know I can think of better things. I assure that we'll take all necessary and preferred actions. Neither myself nor the captain lack for funds, so that aspect is a non-issue. And if there's anything that could be done to expedite the process and reduce the work load, I'm happy to comply."

Natalia had been looking at her permit to hunt bounties, thinking about how cool of a wall ornament and conversation piece it would be later, when the three came upon the scene.

Now she feels a little sick of the whole thing, it just became too real. Her eyes are wide. She drops character, she's confused, and a little worried.

'How is Montoya doing it? How is he saving face?

This whole scene is a chaotic improv, and he's just...acting like there's nothing wrong.'

"Uhmm..." She starts softly, then her eyes narrow, her lip perks up into an attractive, albeit mischievous, smile, "Talk them down? Of course I can, it's just cheap talk, and writs changing hands."

Natalia did her best, and her best is pretty darn good, to appear, likable, intelligent, and engaged. At heart she still feels 'along for the ride' and is beginning to feel very nervous about the skeleton crew she's a part of.

"You've been perfectly thorough, thank you. It's only a shame there's no bonus for express delivery."
Her delivery suggests perfect confidence, with a slight and appropriate sense of humor. She at least knows how to play the part. She rises to leave along side her captain, holding herself with professionalism and a lady-like charm.

Natalia raises her left hand, her right arm resting over her stomach, and lifts her pointer finger,

"The temperature achieved by a lightning strike is greater than that of the surface temperature of the sun."

She looks around the room for a moment,

"I...I just thought that was interesting."

"Got any thoughts, Alishire?"

"Oh, don't bother her," Simon waves dismissively towards Natalia.  "She's doing her 'Mysterious Enigmatic Aren't I Just So Interesting! Movie Star' thing!"

Natalia looks like a trapped rabbit for a moment, but quickly and totally changes her composure, calm, with smile most becoming,

"No, well, really you all have specialized skills for this line of work, and I'm more of an entertainer. If you all wanted to make a dance routine, I'm your girl."

She allows a very pretty, arguably practiced, laugh before continuing,

"Tell you what though! I'm an A-grade babysitter."

Natalia saunters over to where the others have begun to migrate, distancing herself as a bystander. She watches everyone intently, trying to come to grips with their expressions and gestures.

It's all very interesting, exciting, but a bit out of her department.

She'll happily take mental notes for if - when - she gets to take on another role one day.

Glad you are here.

86
Background
Natalia is a martian born actor, popular on her home planet for her skilled dancing. She first made a name for herself performing in live-action plays. It helped that people enjoyed working with her, and that routines she was involved in just plain seemed to go better all around with her involved. People who worked with her were more likely to be on point and motivated. There was something else about her presence that made things that should have been out of place seem perfectly natural and appealing. This was one of her great assets on stage as well on screen.

Her best known roles include: the quick-draw master, Elly Mcdowell in the Far-Modern-Spy-Thriller, Hero of High Noon, the purehearted swordmaster, Xue, tragically at odds were her heroic brother, in the fantasy epic, Spirit Gauge, and the graceful and "highly relatable" heroine of the suspenseful family drama, The Very Last House. She also appeared on, Dancing in the Stars.

She gained another reputation as well, as a bit loose, but this was a controversial point. She was known frequently to spend nights in the apartments, hotels, or houses of actors whom she worked with. When asked about it should would only say, "I don't sleep around," and then avoid or altogether ignore the questions. Men she stayed with had more mixed answers ranging from, a sheepish, "Well, umm, she slept anyway," to an angry, "Well yeah, she's a total slut. We know this." to, "She's a great friend for talking the night away."

She has a skill for getting people talking. She actually used that rumor mill to land jobs, and get quick writs. People wanted to know things and she kept finding herself in the know, often from some long conversation forgotten by the drunken other party. There was a rumor that she may have blackmailed her way to her first big job. Much like the nature of her coed sleeping arrangements, that isn't confirmed.

At some point she developed a drug addiction, but managed to handle it fairly well, revealing it only to a few close friends. The information is still known only within this closed circle. What set her on a drastically new course happened during a short stay on Venus.

She was there to celebrate the premier of her newest movie, and per routine she was going to stay the night with someone. He just didn't know it yet. After a long day with some of the cast and crew she'd found herself wrapped up in mutual undivided attention. She doesn't remember the conversation on the way to the hotel room very well, because she'd regrettably taken drugs she shouldn't have, so had he to be fair, but it was fascinating. That night she stepped into the restroom, hearing a suppressed shout minutes later, followed by an urgent sounding and hushed conversation outside. She stayed quiet by the door, listening.

One thing she remembers clearly, there was someone saying, "He thinks he can play us? Fark him! Find Natalia! We'll see how much he cares for his star bitch once we slice up her face and send her pinky finger to him in a box!"

Opening a window had never been so difficult or nerve-wracking. Natalia climbed precariously out of the window, hearing from inside the bathroom door being kicked in. With a little coaching she let herself fall - the streets spinning in delusion below - landing on someone's balcony a floor below. rushing to get back inside as she glanced back up at the window, someone was just then peeking through to look down from above.

She sprinted through a room full of people who were apparently unhappy with a surprise visit from a beautiful movie star. They made this known by shouting at her in French. She called a nearby friend frantically insisting that she needed that, "Quick ride out of here," immediately. She'd started preparing 'get away drivers' after that one time.

Then she boarded a ship out of there under a false name, it would be traced back eventually, but she didn't care at the time. Its not like Natalia ever wanted to come back. After sleeping off her drug induced state she started getting in touch with anyone she knew with connections. Unfortunately, her contact on Venus had gone dark.

Her conclusion was this: "I heard something I shouldn't have. I don't remember what it was. Now someone is after me, and I need to be able to move around without it being documented."

She knew one person who might be able to help.

Edge & Power Notes
Born Leader
The character has the natural ability to encourage, motivate, and push others beyond their normal limitations. The character gains a second set of Surge Points (equal to his own), which he can give to others within the sound of his voice as a Free Action. Unlike his personal Surge Points, these are not limited to being given away just one per round - although each recipient cannot benefit from more than 1 Born Leader Surge (from any source) per round.

Evasion
The character has superior agility and grace when dodging attacks. He can use the Full Defense Action (Defend + Defend) without spending Surge Points during combat. +2 Defense (Dodge).

Flawless Decorum [1 Luck | Free Action | 1 Scene]
By attuning one’s ki to protocol, one can smoothly navigate any social situation with perfect ease, intuitively knowing the expectations and customs of the participants and making no mistakes or faux-pas. It can be used in the place of a Socialize roll like a Crit to automatically get the best results possible, given the circumstances in question.

Flaw Notes
Distinctive Features (Famous Actress)
Something about the character’s physical appearance stands out, making him easily identifiable (whether extensive tattoos, a disfigurement, unique mode of dress, etc). Opponents get a +4 on Perception (Spot) rolls, when used to spot the character among a crowd or recognize him in disguise.

Enemy (Who?)
The character has an enemy (whether an individual or group) actively seeking to do him harm. More powerful enemies such as governments, corporations, or syndicates will usually put a bounty on the character as well (see Bounty Head), to help rope him into their clutches.

At the start of each game session, the GM secretly rolls a die to determine if the character’s enemy shows up sometime during the course of the game.

RollResult
1-10| No
11-15| No, But Add +5 To Next Roll
16-20| Enemy’s Goons
21-25| Enemy

Phobia (Fear of Being Alone)
The character has a particular phobia or irrational fear. Anytime the character is exposed to his phobia, he must make a Willpower Save or become Panicked, doing everything he can to immediately leave the area. If he Saves, he may stay in the fearful situation, but becomes Shaken and suffers a -1 penalty to all Die Rolls until the situation is resolved. Note that characters with the Fear of Deep Water Phobia sink straight to the bottom if they become Panicked while in water over their heads.

Pill Popper
The character has a problem with popping pills. She must make a Willpower Save to resist any offers of pills; or each day when trying to kick the habit; something an enemy might take advantage of. Pills that will satisfy the craving are Black Hole, Gamma Green, Lightspeed, Oblivion, Pain Killer, Recall 13, Snapdragon, Stimdose, Tranquillizer, or X-88.

If denied pills for more than a day, the character suffers withdrawals and a -1 penalty to all Die Rolls until she gets some. If she can go a full month without taking any pills, then the withdrawals stop and the flaw goes dormant, until a pill is taken once again. When that happens, the Character must make a MTN 10 Willpower Save or become addicted once again (with all the above considerations coming back into play).

Note that this flaw can only be bought off with XP while it is dormant.
