Community Conversation / Possible inactivity for the weekend
« on: August 12, 2016, 07:36:42 am »
It's my birthday today, so I'm about to head out in a few hours to go camping with some friends to celebrate for the weekend. Weather isn't looking so good, but if we don't get rained out I might be inactive for a few days. I'll try to get online in the mean time to post for 3J's game, but I can't make any promises.

For all the people in my party, 3J and Aman are already aware of this, and if I'm unable to get online before a deadline I'll be leaving Aman instructions to carry out for me to the best of his abilities.

Minor glitch, don't know if I've missed any incoming messages because of it or not.

My messages keeps saying I have 1 message, but when I go to read it, there's no new reply.

Haven't got any incoming messages since the bug occurred, though the people I've sent messages to since have been online. So either everyone hates me or the bug is messing with it.

Well, this was a night to remember. Sort of.

I didnt have anything planned (at all) but i got so bored just sitting at home so i left to find some friends at around 23:00, got into a fight so had a few people looking for me, then i ended up at a rave in a forest, on the top of a high cliff overlooking the ocean. Was frekkin awesome. Met a few other friends there, accidentely took Ecstasy (had a headache, asked a friend for a headache pill. Was not a headache pill.

Then i just danced the night away in a ecstazy haze, watched the sunrise (which, no joke, was the most beautiful sunrise i've ever seen.)

All in all, i'm not a big fan of drugs in general but hot damn i had a good night  ;D

You, my friend, know how to get down. If you ever find yourself in Cleveland I got you on the homie hook up.

You guys would be insane to party with, haha. I can see it now.

Daed is the joker of the group, always getting into shenanigans and being a blast.

Drak is that Guy who destroys everyone at beer pong then gets into a fight with a pitbull.

Aman is the guy who gets way too wasted and people Fark with him while he's passed out.

BZ is basically the Senior in a room full of freshman, teaching us how to balance being drunk and having a good time while not making asses out of ourselves.

So I got caught in the crossfire between protesters throwing piss at each other downtown the other day. I don't think I've ever been so close to striking a stranger before on my life, let alone in front of a cop.

Goddamn, I could tell they weren't from around here either. Cleveland finally just banded together for the Cavs, then some Assholes from out of state show up and make CNN think we're the most backwards Ass city in all of the Midwest.

Worst part is since they had so many cops stationed downtown, they didn't have enough to patrol either the East or West side sufficiently. This was the deadliest weekend of the year so far for Cleveland, even a Farking two year old got shot. Plus, it doesn't help that they made downtown look like the scene from a dystopian film with all the fences and kicked out the homeless. There was no legitimate reason to hold the RNC in a city that wasn't sufficiently equipped to handle it. The whole city basically came to a standstill during the Cavs parade, for Christ sake.

It's about to be Farking crazy downtown when it does. They're closing the probation building on W.3rd for a while week because of it. They didn't even do that for the Cavs parade, and there was over a million people downtown!

64
Community Conversation / Re: Community Conversation
« on: July 13, 2016, 09:42:12 pm »
So I was walking back from probation today and I noticed some people who came to Cleveland for the RNC. Don't know if they were helping set up or just some loonies who escaped from the nearest shelter care facility, but meh, whatever.

So they start off on the typical right wing shpiel, "Abortion is murder, Obama's taking our guns, Reagan is God," ya know, the usual shtick.

BUT THEN, I shit you not, this random bitch with her megaphone started running up to black women and asking how it feels to be a murderer. I shit you not, this chick went on a rant about how all black people abort their babies, and that the Black Lives Matter movement is a hate group designed to take down white America. Then she starts bringing up some shit about how the New Black Panthers will be arriving to the RNC armed, fully within their rights as citizens of the U.S.A., but then the chick starts going off about how they should be stripped of their weapons because they pose a danger to society... ya know, kind of the same thing people have been telling them for years?

"Remember kids, everybody should have a gun. Grandma, the mail man, Hell, little Tommy even really loved that AK I got him for Christmas last year, you should've seen the look on his face before he blew it off! You know... unless they're brown, of course. Asians are fine, but I don't trust me no guns with no darkies."

The funniest part about this little shit show is that it's going down in front of Tower City in downtown Cleveland. Now, for those of you unfamiliar with the area, Tower City to Cleveland is what Grand Central Terminal is to NYC. You never know who is coming from where, but considering you've gotta be rich as tits to live downtown, the vast majority of people down there come from everywhere from the suburbs to the east side.

So this woman is running up saying all these heinous things to people she doesn't know who could be from God knows where carrying God knows what, and she just doesn't give a Fark. Really, I don't know if she's brave or just stupid. Either way, it's dangerously so. This one big Ass black chick got in her face loud as Fark and was about to stomp this little old white lady's head into the curb for talking to her like that, before some of the more sensible people she was demonstrating with realized what was going on.

Tldr: God I love America.

Dude, I've lived in humid heat. Compared to this, I honest-to-God did not mind it. And even the cheerier locals that I've seen, in 120 weather, do not give a shit about it being a "dry heat" anymore, it just isn't any consolation when you're at near constant risk for dehydration and you're slowly turning into human jerky. xD

Idk man, my buddy moved out there about 4 months ago and he said he doesn't mind being able to cook an egg on the sidewalk. Different strokes, I guess.

*raises hand* :P The key to being a cactus is to be the most tsundere of plants.

In seriousness, I stay out of the sun as much as I can on 118-120 degree days. Today was a 120 day, (though now that it's evening, it's finally gone down to 115... :P) and it's my day off, so I ran all my errands yesterday, spent today resting with the blinds / curtains closed, the fans on, and most of the lights off. Yes, my solution is to live like a vampire.

At least Arizona has dry heat. It's just miserable with the humidity.

I only like Rick seasons 1 and 6. And go figure, as soon as we get non crazy badass Rick, Gimple tells us the seventh season will be the story of Rick starting to doubt himself.

What the Fark man? We've been so Goddamn patient to get the current Rick, the one we love, and now you're gonna revert him backwards five seasons like you did Carol? Even after that bullshit finale? Fark you

I don't have HBO, so the only episode I saw was the 6th season premiere since xbox let me watch it for free. I gotta stick to YouTube clips and the internet to keep up with it, but I love it. Walking Dead would be the best show on television if they were half as fearless as GoT.

It's decent, gets worse as it goes along though IMO.

Suits? Have you seen Psych? (Watch all of it immediately if you haven't).

Supernatural?

House (Amazing)?

White Collar is pretty hilarious too.

Daredevil has some amazing fight scenes.

Scrubs is also very funny.

I loved the first two seasons of Suits, but it started to bore me later on. Louis is the only character I like.

Psych is pretty funny, not really my type of show though.

House and white collar I'm already done with, sadly.

I'll make sure to check out Scrubs and Daredevil.

Lol, I hope you’re joking about the rides. The long lines do suck though.

I remember going to Cedar Point once when it practically rained all day, ended up spending most of the time in the large arcade there so it wasn’t a total loss.

Haven’t been to Cedar Point in a long time though. Last time I went was for my high school senior trip and the newest ride the Raptor just opened. I remember it being fun enough that I went on the ride twice that day. Favorite non-roller coaster ride was probably the Witches’ Wheel.

Nah, I hate roller coasters. I've got trust issues with machinery, ever since my laundry machine left me for another man.

Is the Witch Wheel the one where it picks you up and spins in the air going hella different directions? Cause I nearly Pissed myself on that one and I'm not even ashamed to admit it

I've had a few friends go there tripping before, and they said they loved it, but standing in line for half an hour made them almost lose their Damn minds in the process.

That was my wife's thought: first of all, why do we have to make it a big deal, go to the one you want.

She was worried too that pervert guys could use it as a legal right to go in ladies rooms.
Although technically there's no laws preventing that now, are there?

I'm not sure, honestly. I'd hope so.

Community Conversation / Re: Community Conversation

I mean, it's one of those things that should be a non issue, but everyone has to have a stick up their ass about the whole situation.

Pretending to be black as she did is on par with a guy wearing a skirt in a women's clothing room to sneak peeks, in my opinion. It's wrong, and taking advantage of the situation.

I'm not big on people identifying as something they're biologically not, in my opinion if you were born with balls you're a guy. Gender dysphoria he damned, because the brain has been known to do it's own thing from to time. Same with being transracial, although I think that's something different altogether.

But, at the end of the day, my opinion is irrelevant, because I don't really give a Damn what another adult does with their own life. Chop off your leg while you're at it.

Don't really understand how not letting someone with balls in a female rest room is such a big controversy. Otherwise, any pervert with a camera or smart glasses can wear a skirt and claim to be trans.

Not sure how many dudes would care about a female in the men's room, though. Court makes me piss in plain view of another man twice a week, so I don't give a Damn who's in the room with me personally.
