It looks like I'll actually be able to get all my preparations done for Origins and Gencon - what a load off my mind.

These promise to be awesome games for all involved - plus we got some decent swag

Speaking of Origins... PHEW!!!

All done prepping and packing up the games and events!

I'm like some sort of madman, with adventures, supliments, handouts, swag, maps, counters, dice, pencils, papers, and probably even the kitchen sink.

JP, do you have your booth # yet for where you'll be at GenCon? I wanna look at the exhibit hall map and see where you are.

We’ll be at the Indie Press Revolution booth, # 2139 – though I will be limited as to when I can be at the booth myself, due to game running commitments. As it stands, they know I’ll be popping in from time to time to help out when I can.

As for your game, good luck – but I know you’ll do fine. I enjoyed the games you’ve ran in the past – even the vampire larp – and that’s saying something, because I’ve decided that I don’t care for the majority of larps I’ve tried out

It looks like Lori and I might be getting in on Thursday, rather than Friday. If we get there with time, we might pop in to see how your game goes (or play, if any of your seats fail to show).

Just so you know the IPR Booth is at 2139 at Gen COn for all your BHB Needs... also JP find time to go so you can have a couple hours through your stay to do autographs and signings..

I’m thinking of trying to run a pickup game at GenCon of Fantasy BHB – ala Pirate adventure in the world of Conan the Barbarian. The adventure is called

Bane Treasure of The Vampire King.

I may also bring my Cthopoly – Call of Cthulhu Monopoly game – where you trade in Cultists, Dark Gods, and Sanity rather than properties and money.

Anyone got any advice for getting a pickup game off the ground? Don’t they have a section devoted to pick up games?

Yes, there is an open gaming area usually in one of the hotels. Also post on the Gencon forum that you're looking to run a pickup game, and what time/date you're looking to do it. That will help drum up interest. I'm not sure if they have come out and announced which hotel has the open gaming area, but right before the con it should be posted and it's usually in the book. It's usually one of the main connected ones - hyatt or marriot I think.

OK, I know that the con is right around the corner because I had THE DREAM last night.

You know...the one where you're running your event and everything goes wrong. I forgot my battle map tiles, only 3 people showed up and 2 of them left, then a group of like 12 all wanted to fill the empty seats...5 of my friends showed up and kept giving me hugs and wanting to talk....madness!!!

So yeah....once I have the dream I know it's so close I can smell it. smells like mountain dew and feet.....
