Just wanted to check - how was that ending? thought it would be a bit boring if I just wrote the arena fight from an outside perspective, and Barabus could use a tiny bit of character development.

Wondering about buying a new discipline.

Basically to buy a new one costs 10 (plus valid in game reason and opportunity)

Do you pay the ten, then have to pay the 7 for level 1 or does paying the ten give you level 1?

yep, Aman and Berka are right.

Seth: didn't make a post, it was three chapters, max of 42 exp and minimum of 12, was pretty lenient with giving exp out here, admittedly, since I didn't want to go through a week or so of you all giving me specific examples of everything. Rated you all mostly o performance/impact to story. Would have given Steeple a 42 but I remembered that he worked against the party, so I detracted an exp point - though I am considering giving him an extra path point.

By the way, bonus to you all - you all get 5 background points to spend, along with a bump of three to your statuses, as Count Radu instated you all as princes of your separate domains. How you spend those points detail the results of your reign.

Steeple and Kiril get three background points and two points of Status, both being seneschals. Kiril earned his city, I just haven't given it yet because there's a much better story opportunity coming up for it.

Oh, and Steeple takes a temporary (~ century long) 1-dot hit to resources as Vladivostok targets his business. Steeple cannot raise it above 4 without a very specific side quest that would help him ail his misfortunes, if he can survive long enough that is.

So if we went all resources it would be like a merchant town, allies would be a ruling group got formed, that sort of thing?

Yeah, basically. Contacts would mean you settled your roots into the city and planted spies everywhere, rule from the shadows type thing. Allies means you have firm control over your city because you have friends in the inhabitants, resources means you use your city to make lots of $$$, influence means an overbearing presence of whatever category of influence you've chosen appearing to enforce your decisions, retainers means a council of servants that you have rule for you, etc.
