I would actually avoid that for a Storytelling game (where possible). Once you get maps involved, it brings in an tactical element that isn't terribly conducive to the overall feel of these types of games.

Yeah but then you end up with situations like "well obviously it was a stupid idea to try and ride your horse down that alley, you should have intuitively understood that when I called it an alley, that meant it was way too narrow for any sane person to ride a horse through it"

or "Wait, I got hit by my ally's attack because I was standing between my ally and his target? But in order to get there, I would have had to deliberately go around him to get between him and the target-- in the now-established-to-be-extremely-narrow alley. Gabors pretty overconfident if he thinks hes taking on Basilio, uh, how exact can the nightshade illusions be? Like, could it mimic Basiolio cool fighting style, and act just slow enough that Gabor can react?

Gabor didn't think Basilio would send anyone else to do the job. He also knows that the nightshade he just cut up is not Basilio, because it was so clearly just an illusion.

Obsidian fist involves making shadows solid (you know, Obsidian and all that), so the nightshades definitely can't do that. They can pretend to, but it's all just smoke and mirrors.

They can do whatever you want them to do, but it won't be much at this stage.

Okay, thinking here.

Gabor is down stairs right? Hed have to leap up the balcony to get to me (I assume he has enough potence to do this.) He also can cut dark steel with a touch since his blade is fire-enchanted. But that doesnt destroy my nighshades (not gonna complain).

Cant mimic Basilios acts, nor really his voice. He clearly doesnt recognize Anton, and thinks hes a crew member. Would he believe a Hungry Hungry Shade appears? I mean, thats something that he'll clearly consider a massive threat and probably doesnt know how it works, so stabbing into it and hitting shadows wont be a breach?

Did you SEE your list of flaws? Do you know what half of them are? XD

Besides, it's not too big a change. You're still almost exactly as fragile as you've always been, and any character played by you basically always has the "overconfident" flaw (regardless of it being listed).

Is there any sweet sweet combo disipline that lets you do that? I mean, theres fluff about Elders controlling the same shadows (so I assumed utd be a dominate/Obt power) so wouldnthat be an auspex combo
