COS Con 2012
« on: March 15, 2012, 09:58:08 am »

Lady Z and I are going to check out a local gaming convention in Butler PA - COS Con (Circle of Swords). It's smaller even than Con on The Cob, but it's literally the next town over from me, so we might as well try it out.

I don't expect to have awesome success like at Origins and Gencon (small cons are full of folks who don't seem to like trying anything new), but I'm going to be ready to run four events anyway. We'll see how it goes  ;D

I'll be running:

QAGS: Dungeons & Drag Queens
BHB: Heart of The Oni
BHB: Did Sombody Say Zombies
BHB: Hive of Scum and Villainy

Well, Lady Z and I went to the COS (Circle of Swords) Con in Butler PA.

While there was token interest in BHB, I didn’t have enough players to run any of my BHB events. I could have run ‘Hive of Scum & Villainy’ on Saturday night with two players, but by that time, I really was burned out and would have had a hard time scaling it for just two characters, so I opted to cancel and go home early.

I did get to run my QAGS event, ‘Dungeons & Drag Queens’ (and with Ian of the Hex team as a player). It was a riot! I’m definitely going to run it again at another Con.

I ended up playing QAGS with Ian when my games fell through and had a good time with that.

I’m game to try COSCon again next year, but will submit events much earlier. This year I just got in under the deadline  :-\

Ian ( Hex Games) has to be one of the funniest people I have ever met. There are plenty of others though as well but he played Dungeons and Drag Queens with us and he is a riot. Good times. :)
