Brock will run forward and grapple touch (not throw) his pokéball on Krabby (Surging forward to go first) the very second the krabby is knocked out by anyone else. If the krabby is not knocked out, but just badly injured, he will do this too.

Growlithe pops out of his Pokéball - ready for orders the next round. Officer Jenny tries to get another throw at the Krabby, but just fumbles around in too much of a hurry.

Nurse Joy tosses another Pokéball and misses by a mile (she really does throw like a girl). Chansy meanwhile, throws an Egg Bomb at Krabby - which explodes yolk all over the poor thing for 14 Damage.

Pikachu then Thunder Shocks it again - this time for 8 Damage - though the Krabby resists the Paralysis.

Brock then spends a Surge Point, thinking to get the jump on the now banged up Krabby, but the Surge is for an Extra Action in the same Round (not for going first in a yet to arrive new Round). Pikachu sees this and flips a Pokéball at the Krabby, before Brock is able to get close enough to touch the Krabby with his own.

The Krabby is then drawn into the Pokéball and captured! Pikachu quickly grabs up his new Pokémon and does a little victory dance.

Misty meanwhile, had been distracted by some of the tracks in the sand and missed the whole thing - Pointing them out however, everyone sees lots of human footprints on the beach and discover a set of red pompoms on a large beach towel hidden behind some rocks. Stitched in gold letters on the towel are the words “Cinnabar Island Resort Hotel.”

"Pikachu...." Jenny says quietly to him/her while slowly taking out her bazooka and nightstick, and makes sure the bazooka is reloaded.

"Growlithe, be preapred for anything!" She yells out to him.

"You will give back my two pokeballs right this instant, or you will go to jail." She said slowly to him to make sure he grasped the seriousness of the situation.

As Officer Jenny flips the rowboat upright and begins to slide it toward the water, the Krabby suddenly pops out of its Pokéball and yammers frantically at Pikachu - *foam foam, spittle, foam!

I think that this is the source of the corruption. We should stay and rest before going on, maybe try and get more pokémon with my pokésnacks^tm. It's dangerous, and we want to be as well prepared as possible, right? I mean, yes, if we go in now we can do everything faster, but we'll also probably not make it out okay... Gengar Island

Everyone piles into the boat and starts rowing across the water toward the island. After about an hour, the Island seems no closer, but the coastline behind is now well in the distance. Rowing another hour puts the coastline right at the edge of the horizon - but still the Island seems no closer than it was when the team was looking at it from the beach.

With everyone tired out from the rowing, Misty calls out Starmie and Psyduck and has them pull the boat. With their natural affinity for the water, they easily to the boat into a third hour and finally the mysterious Island allows the boat to land on its gray shores.

Looking back out across the waves, the coastline is no longer even visible - just an empty expanse of open water.

The team now stands on a volcanic beach below the three monolithic heads. Two large rowboats (like the one they found on the mainland) are beached here. A large group of people tracks heads away from the boats and up a dirt path that climbs the island towards the ominous tower above.

Oddly, something immediately seems off, and Misty is the first to point out that the shadows fall toward the sun here on Gengar Island - rather than away like normal!

Climbing up the hill to the monolithic head, right off the path, Ash gives it a good licking.

It is indescribably more tasty than he could ever have imagined - each lick like an explosion of pure ecstasy in each tastebud!
