you should see this frankenstien of a computer I'm using at the moment - the screen on our laptop went out; so I have the laptop ripped open without its keyboard; and video wires ripped out; with a usb keyboard, usb mouse, and an old (circa 2002) monitor hooked up to the external video - all resting atop the monitor itsel - which being so old, is huge all by itself.

Hell - it looks hela aweful, but hey - I'm online with it at least and I don't have to go downstairs to use the family computer - heh heh heh ;D

I can not wait to get a new laptop. This computer is not great for comfort in your own bed like the other one. I will not complain though, I do not have to fight for the family computer as well :)  My legs are numb from sitting on the floor, but oh well, worse things could happen. We must sit Japenese style in front of it to be able to use it. No room for a computer desk in our room either  :P

I am just wondering if it is windy like a tornado everywhere else today too. Here in Pittsburgh, it is very cold and windy. BZ decides to go adventure hunting (for food...:)). We ended up back where we started; the cafeteria at the hospital. No true adventures today.... No cool walkways like the other hospital.... Anyways, have a great weekend everybody and stay warm!!!!  ;D

Ah yes, the incomparable Rita Moreno. If you ever get to catch a 1976 movie called The Ritz, you'll see her in rare form. Great bedroom farce, set in a gay bathhouse in New York City. And what is Rita Moreno doing there? Well, that's part of what makes the movie so great... ;)

BZ

After a bit of research, I found a spot on their site announcing that event submission will open in January (no specific date was given, although I did find it was January 13 for this year's show).

You can try to contact the Event staff at events@gencon.com. Hopefully, someone's keeping an eye on the line. ;)

Yes I am still alive!!!!!!! Barely though  :P I have been sick as a dog and taking care of my mom and stuff. The lights we saw were the coolest thing. I never saw the light show at this park before. They had everything from fire breathing dragons to the Steelers Big Ben throwing touchdown passes. All animated stuff.... VERY COOL  8)

The only other light show I ever saw that was cool was on our anniversary one year, BZ took me to see the Trans- Siberian Orchestra ( a dream of mine ) That was awesome as awesome comes.

That almost sounds like a challenge. I'll have to go digging for the link to the list of most disgusting packaged foods ever made.

Trust me, Spam barely makes the grade against some of these treats.  ;D

Well - that was fun  :)

I figured out a way to play the game without becomming a vampire (my character Christoph stayed human) - which was cool because I made him a paladin type character with faith based spells and of course ye old force lightning - hehehe...

Lady Z and I rented 'Deliverance' over the weekend for some old-school 70’s era classic story telling.

I note that 'Deliverance' is the father of all the ‘Wrong Turn Cannibal Hillbilly Slasher flicks.

If you think about it, 'Deliverance' was awesome, and it only had two antagonists in it.  With today’s movies, you can have no less than a village of ‘em... and rather than tell a good story, it’s all about blowing them away one-by-one first person shooter style…  Very few good stories are actually told in film any more  :P

Thoughts?

I went to see it in the theaters and considered it money well-spent. One bit of trivia: the guy who plays Murdock (and does such a bang-up job at it too) is the same guy who played the lead in "District 9". Weird, huh?

Happens to the best of us. ;)

Oh and if you like stuff like A-Team, I recommend The Losers. When I read the graphic novel series the movie was based on, my first thought was "This is the A-Team for the 21st Century". A lot grittier, but definitely just as action-packed. :)
