Hope it was a nice weekend celebrating a great movie!
Naturally he was watching Independence Day. Nothing says American spirit like delivering some nukes to aliens.

Hey Killa, what happened to your avatar?!?

Uhhhhhh, it disappeared from the internet it seems. Or rather, it moved slightly lol. Fixed it.

Sucks to hear about the housing situation started off rough, but sounds like it worked out in the end.

Oh hey, activity here again! Great to hear Forge stayed safe and is now vaccinated, Aman graduated, and Berka/Lady Z are returning to the wilderness after getting that grandson  ;)

Like Drak and unlike most people, for better or worse I didn't get to experience not having a job. Being a tech company we simply moved to all being remote. In fact I think we're close to the year-long anniversary of that. Moving to Toronto to experience the big city then being on lockdown for the year ended up being a pretty big letdown. It's looking like this would be the status quo for most of 2021 as well, so hears hoping 2022 is at least better...

This also makes for the second year in a row where I wanted to go back to Japan but can't due to the damn lockdown.

Funny enough the CYS discord is mostly where I'm active now, if any of you are interested in joining it:  https://discord.gg/jzyDE47

I managed to get to work in Italy for 3 months, and got back just in time to not get quarantined.

Would still be up for doing a session if that ever comes to be haha.

I think we're just more into the fantasy ones. Personally my life's been rather hectic lately (currently in Italy for work, will need to find a new place to live once i get back, etc).

Congrats on being grandparents!

"M-maybe someone should check upstairs before we go? You know... could be some drugs, or rich people in those cells we can ransom off after rescuing them?" Gilbert suggests. He then checks the video feed to see if there's any problems with them going up for a quick snatch and run.

"Uhh... Not sure mortars are hackable... but I'll see what I can do," Gilbert replies, attempting to have the mortars shoot the front gate and the outside of the message mansion. To go along with that, his next course of action would be to alter the footage of the cameras at the front gate to make the guards believe they are being attacked.

"Gil, think you can upload some stealth schematics into my brain comp? I have a feeling we will need all the edge we can get here."

"Uh... Sure, maybe?" Gilbert replies, searching up if that's a thing and if so how to do that.

"Cameras on loop, doors unlocked front of us and locking as we leave... Gil, maybe best you wait in the sub after all so you can keep an eye on the real camera feeds." Montoya muses

Gilbert sighs internally with relief, before nodding his head vigorously. "Yeah, good call."

"I... uh... sure," Gilbert replies, still depressed that he had to join the others with the infiltration. He tries to hack into the wifi, then gain access to the cameras that are connected to the network.

"Yeah... hopefully she's okay," Gilbert replied, silently mourning the loss of his snack-runner.

"But uh... where do you guys want me to drop you off?" He asks, shifting nervously in his seat. "I doubt we can just pull into the docking bay without drawing attention to ourselves."

"Yeah... you guys sneak in and out. I'll stay on the sub and... uh... make sure its ready to leave when we need to disappear," Gilbert suggests, wiping sweat from his forehead.

"I can help everyone better from here anyway."

He then starts shaking, as he slowly begins to shuffle towards the reception with his hands up.

That's rough. If I've learned anything since joining the working world, it's that being competent always ends up Farking you. I've been at my current job for three months and I've really impressed people here... so they keep giving me a shit ton of extra work to do :'(

Highly recommend looking for another place. A crappy job will just eat away at your soul until you don't even remember what a good job is like, and thus begin to think your situation isn't all that bad and get used to it.

crazy how I'm not even in the running for serial killer

Well, you're "Not AMan" and statistically women are less likely to be serial killers...

So...

Lady Z & I are too old to be killers (unless we are the highly successful type who have never been caught  ;)) and anyone can see our real selves on EliteTSD.Com.

You have met Drak face-to-face and lived to tell the tale, so at least we know he won't chop up his gaming buddies and stick them in the freezer.

Forge is a Medical Professional, so we can totally trust him, even if he brings his bag of scalpels, bone saws, and other medical implements with him to cabin con.

That jus leaves Killa, who is obviously the serial killer among us, because he has been to the Philippines and has the word "Killa" in his username in a reverse phycology way of trying to throw off suspicion.

 ;D

Wow, harsh. I'll have you know my body cellar has been clean for weeks now, and what happens in the Philippines doesn't count!

I'm banking on Drak, playing the long con by allowing Aman to live and lull the rest of us into a false sense of security. >:D

But yeah, I actually wouldn't be against something like that. I've done a few in person dnd sessions with buddies of mine and the they were a blast. I imagine it's even more fun with people that have attention spans longer than an hour and actually know what they're doing lol.

Forge lives in Canada too he's got free clinics as well

Oh yeah, fair point. Guess I just live in an area where lots of people like to get sick.

Gonna go out on a limb and say our clinics being free is a pretty big reason why they're busier lol.

I once went into a walk in where it was just me and an older couple. After about 20 minutes they asked the receptionist where the physician was, and were told she had just stepped out for a moment.

At the 1 hour moment mark i told the receptionist i was just gonna leave. She tried to ask me to stay, but when i asked if she actually knew if the physician was coming back.. she admitted she had no idea.

So the quality of certain locations varies greatly lol.

Or less time consuming.

Waited four hours for a two minute checkup at a clinic today :’(

Had a lump in my chest that I was 95% sure was just a small cyst but wanted to get it checked because i’m not a doctor and couldn’t actually be sure. It was a small cyst.

At least I had something to read though. Though there’s also always the risk that I caught something from waiting in a room for 4 hours with a large amount of diseased people.

That Canadian life.

Hmm... It seems I have freeze-dried a part of my thumb, when a faulty propane valve sprayed liquid propane across it. Right now, it's like a one and a halfinch length of leather on my thumb, rather than skin. I imagine it will blister up at some point like a burn.  :(

I feel like you should go to a walk-in clinic to make sure you're not about to lose part of your thumb...

Or does that cost money in the states as well?

Robor shrugs.
"Can't hurt, using their monsters against them."

"It could, if they can somehow control them, or if the traps don't trigger," Emend replies. "We should investigate the Georgetown University killings. It might gives us some clues about who, or what, we're dealing with."

"Perhaps its fine that we don't catch them. We at the very least know that they're powerful, and that they want the heart. Maybe rather than chasing them, we should invite them," Emend states. "Here, to this manor."

45
Oh, haha! Busted XD

It only does that because I hid all our old game threads deep in the bowels of the writing workshop to prevent thier loss with the forum games forum. ;D

Yeah, i was looking to "recover" the old threads and while doing so found they were never actually gone for real to begin with lol.

Emend looks at the small ball of light quizzically. "I'll try it like this for now," he then attempts to manipulate it with his knowledge of forces to gain some insight from the phone.

47
I can't change your posts, but I've found if you change the the forum from forum-games to writing-workshop all the links work.

Emend again nods, and attempts to track its current location, going all the way to try and hack the satellite that the phone connected with to send its message.

Disciples / Re: Disciples OOC

Technically speaking I'm pretty sure Emend could scry and hack it using his space/forces combo without ever needing to touch it.

Disciples / Re: Witches & Demons & Flies - Oh My!

Emend nods, and attempts to use his knowledge of forces to hack into the phone. Once he accomplishes that, he retrieves all the info out of it that he can, before attempting to trace where the number the buyer came from (given he was texted during their meeting identifying the number should be easy).
